New Seductions

What drives us to keep creating and producing in an increasingly complex, fragile and unpredictable world? Humanity's fascination with sparkle — from beads and baubles to glossy surfaces — is as old as civilisation itself. But how do we translate that into symbiotic, responsible design that is beautiful, useful and more durable?

Annemoon Geurts, Creative Director, Kazerne Foundation: "We don't interpret instinct as an individual urge, but as a shared impulse: to make with. Together with people, materials and ecosystems. Because nothing arises on its own. It's important to show, from various angles, how both young designers and large industries are innovating from this perspective."

Exhibitors like Lilian van Daal, Materia Futura and Thibeault Philip show that sustainable materials don't need to be beige and boring. Bright colours, surprising forms and aesthetic allure turn out to combine effortlessly with a careful, nature-inclusive approach to design.
