At Kazerne, ten young designers present work that is beautiful, meaningful and hopeful. Join the design tour, discover the stories behind the exhibition and see design through new eyes

At Kazerne, ten young designers present their answers to an increasingly complex world. They dig into what we ignore, forget or render invisible, and arrive at work that is beautiful, meaningful and hopeful.
Take Benjamin Onno Dikmans, for example, who demonstrates how you could start growing your own food locally tomorrow with a complete system of shipping containers, tools and a cultivation platform. Or Valdís Steinarsdóttir, who recovers gold from electronic waste and, through Icelandic mythology, holds up a mirror to our collective hunger for raw materials. And Da Trash Club, winner of the Kazerne Design Award, who uses dance, hilarious costumes and infectious energy to expose the myth that once something is thrown away, it simply disappears.
These and many more projects are featured in the exhibition of nominees for the Kazerne Design Award, all recent graduates of Design Academy Eindhoven.
Curious to discover all the works and the stories behind them? Join the design tour and discover how today's design talent is shaping the world of tomorrow.

The design tour is part of De Opening of the cultural season in Eindhoven.
