Da Trash Club blends humor, theory, and both human and non-human perspectives into speculative storytelling, performances, and workshops, where design, theater, and research converge. The characters are born from research into waste systems and consumerism. A world without a clear beginning or end – just like the constant stream of waste itself.

In the adventurous universe of Da Trash Club, the shiny World of Humans is strictly separated from the Land of Away, where all our trash is thrown to. When trash sneaks into the human world and main character Candy gets thrown away from the World of Humans, this strict separation begins to crumble. We follow Candy on an adventurous journey through landfills and oceans, racing against Incineration Day. Through dance, costumes made from waste, and distinctive characters, The Trashifesto dispels the myth that what you throw away actually disappears.
