Céleste Muir is a French designer with a penchant for ceramics and jewelry. During her studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven, she explored mining methods as a way to uncover high-value qualities of materials. Convinced of the beauty existing materials, she creates new species of stone that are the fruit of encounters.

I transform overlooked materials into objects that celebrate possibility and wonder

The jewelry from Precious Little Rocks shows the beauty that is found in glaze waste in ceramic ateliers. Designer Céleste Muir explores these creative spaces as if they were a mine. Instead of discarding potentially toxic glaze remnants, Céleste carefully unearths, cuts, polishes and categorizes them
as contemporary gemstones.

Precious Little Rocks inverts our notion of 'hazardous waste' and celebrates its untapped potential, adorning jewels and other objects.

What beauty lies hidden in hazardous waste?

Sardine Tales Set is a ceramic tableware collection, born from a memorable sardine dinner between designers and close friends Céleste Muir and Marguerite Perianu. The set embodies a ritual of sharing a ceremonial meal: two friends prepare and enjoy eating sardines in three different ways, each representing listening, trust, and confessions. It transforms the humble sardine into a symbol of friendship, appreciation and care.

Guided by her sensitivity, Marguerite Perianu builds the foundation for her work through detailed field research. She blends technologies such as 3D printing with natural materials, befriending them and collaborating with their distinct properties to maintain a balance between analog and digital processes.
