Dit event is in het Engels, dus de tekst hier ook — wel zo makkelijk. What if waste doesn't disappear, but marks the beginning of a new adventure? An energetic and humorous performance for all ages, presented during De Opening, the official opening of Eindhoven's cultural season.

Meet Candy, our delightfully sweet protagonist: a piece of candy and an up-and-coming TikTok sensation. She sets off on a journey to Away in search of her abandoned mother, Wrapper, livestreaming every step of the adventure to her loyal fans, the Sweetoothers.
In Da Trash Club's adventurous universe, the shiny World of Humans is strictly separated from the Land of Away, where everything we throw away is believed to disappear. But when Candy herself is discarded, that strict boundary begins to crumble. Join her on an extraordinary journey across landfills and oceans in a race against the Day of Waste Incineration.
Through dance, costumes made from waste and their unforgettable characters, Da Trash Club dismantles the myth that once you throw something away, it is truly gone.

Da Trash Club brings together design, theatre and research through speculative storytelling, performances and workshops. Blending humour, theory and both human and more-than-human perspectives, they explore our relationship with waste and consumerism. Their characters emerge from research into waste systems and inhabit a world with no clear beginning or end — just like the continuous flow of waste itself.
The performance is part of De Opening of the cultural season in Eindhoven.
While you're here, don't miss the exhibition featuring the ten nominees for the Kazerne Design Award, including this year's winner, Da Trash Club.
You're most welcome!
